"Everyone Else Does It"

"Everyone else does it," What is meant by this phrase? I feel that phrase is commonly used in a way I would describe as peer pressure. Nowadays that phrase is used mainly by people that are trying to get others to do something they don't always want to do (peer pressure). A time that I can remember that I have been told or heard it be said is when I was in Mexico. When I was there one year I would always over heard people at the plaza or at parties telling others to smoke or take some other type of drug. I have not only heard that once but a couple of times and here too not just in Mexico. Not many people realize that when they use that phrase they are using it in a way that really pressures others and can leave them no choice but to do it, even though it can a really awful idea.

Why am i interested in my career goal?

To start, my career goal is to be a very successful business woman. I have always known and wanted to be a woman in control of her own life and job. To be my own boss and have no one with higher power telling me what to do. Growing up I had many role models and examples of successful business people in my life. Family and close family friends had and have had their own companies that they manage themselves and are successful. I grew up in California but I would also spend one month of each year in Mexico. The place my family and I visit is in Jalisco and the town is a small but very special and beautiful ranch. Spending most of my vacations there surrounded by land and animals was a dream. For me it's a goal to own and live in my own ranch with farm animals and grow fruit and vegetable gardens, but to own a place like that can be very pricey. To be able to own a place like that and run it yourself can require a business level of education. That's why I'm interested in the business world as a career, I will need that special level of education to get to my personal goals as well.

Communcation in high school

How I see communication in high school between students and teachers is through the internet. I feel that now that all students have phones and tablets that's all they depend on. Even now with the tablets teachers use them for homework to take the place of paper... It is eco-friendly but it is also scientifically proven that students and people in general learn better when they physical write things down. Now my opinion on student to student communication, there is almost none. If you want to know how someone is doing you simply send them a text asking and the same with general communication all you need to is send a text and no need for face to face communication.

My Writing Challenge

Some of my writing that I have recently discovered that are challenging to me are that I get off track easily and over detail. I actually really enjoy writing especially about topics of my choosing. However, I do notice that I like to say a lot on the topic which can cause me to get off track a bit while writing but it does tie into the topic a bit. In the same way I feel like I put in too much detail, unnecessary detail.
